Privacy
In plain language: your emotional data belongs to you. It is never sold, and you can delete all of it at any time. The sections below describe exactly what EaseCalm stores, where it lives, and how to see, correct, or delete it.
You stay anonymous
EaseCalm works without an account. There is no sign-up, no name, and no email required. Your device holds a random identifier so your stars and your history can come back to you, but that identifier is not tied to who you are.
What we store
- Ordinary words you share may enter EaseCalm’s short-lived processing buffer. Once a fragment is 72 hours old, an hourly deletion job removes it. Crisis words and private details waiting for memory permission do not enter that buffer.
- Anything kept as memory, so EaseCalm can choose practices that fit, appears on the “What it remembers” page where you can correct or delete it.
- Your practice history: which sessions you finished, and when.
On the Web, raw words can also appear as visible dust in My Sky for up to 72 hours. If the browser was closed when they expired, they are removed the next time EaseCalm opens. In the mobile app, the visible daily conversation stays on your device; old daily threads are removed after seven days when the app next starts.
Practice history and visible memory live on your device or on EaseCalm’s servers (hosted in the United States) so they can sync and so the companion can keep learning what helps you.
How AI is involved
To understand what you say and write a response, the words you share are sent to an AI language model. Today that request is routed through a third-party provider on our behalf; we are working to bring this connection in-house so fewer hands ever touch what you share. Your words are used to generate your response. If something may be useful as lasting memory, EaseCalm follows the visible memory rules above. Your words are not sold to anyone.
Never sold, never ads
Your emotional data is never sold and never used for advertising. We do not build a profile of you to target you with anything.
You are in control
Everything EaseCalm remembers about you is visible inside the app, on the “What it remembers” page. You can correct anything that is wrong, and you can delete everything. In Settings, “Delete all my data” wipes what is on your device and what is on our servers. This cannot be undone, which is the point.
You can also download a plain copy of what EaseCalm knows about you at any time, from the same page.
Not medical care
EaseCalm is a quiet practice companion, not therapy, diagnosis, or medical care. See About for safety and crisis resources.
